Entertainment as an economic sector consists of diverse products and services including motion pictures, television, music, broadcasting, print media, toys, gaming, gambling, sports, and fine arts. Growth numbers in the entertainment industry have been astonishing through the years. Even during these turbulent economic times, it is argued that for the period 2009 to 2014, the entertainment and media industry in North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, and Latin America should increase by over 30%. (i.e. increase from $1.3 trillion in 2009 to $1.7 trillion in 2014).
